In-depth knowledge in the areas of crop production, plant nutrition and fertilisation, phytomedicine and agricultural techniques is taught in order to optimise potato and sugar beet cultivation systems focussing on yield and quality. In addition, possible effects on neighbouring ecosystems and the sustainability of cultivation methods are discussed.
